Smoked Jalapeño Popper Queso

 Looking for the ultimate dip for game day? Try out this recipe by Bear Mountain ambassador Nick Nesgoda of @Burnt_Pellet_BBQ.

Prep time: 10-15

Cook time: 30 minutes

Serves: 3-4

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz of Velveeta Queso Blanco Cheese
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 4 oz shredded cheddar
  • 4 oz shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup diced jalapeños
  • 1 lb chopped crispy bacon
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp BBQ rub
  • 2 cups milk
  • Tortilla chips
  • Aluminum foil pan
  • Bear Mountain BBQ’s Chef’s Choice, available exclusively at Walmart

 

Instructions:

  1. Fire up your grill or smoker to 325 degrees. Pour in Bear Mountain’s Chef’s Choice pellets.
  2. In an aluminum foil pan combine Velveeta, cream cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, jalapeños, bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, BBQ rub and milk.
  3. Place on the smoker for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  4. Once it’s creamy, remove from the smoker.
  5. Garnish with more jalapeños and crispy bacon.
  6. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips and dive right in.
