Pigs in a Blanket Queso Ring

Golden, buttery pigs in a blanket baked into a pull-apart ring and served with smoky queso—this is the ultimate crowd-pleasing appetizer from ambassador Jordan Hanger. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfect for dipping. It’s a fun and easy appetizer and perfect for parties, or anytime you need a guaranteed hit.

Steps

  1. Preheat your smoker to 250°F using Bear Mountain Hickory pellets.
  2. Roll out the crescent dough and cut into thin strips. Wrap each little smokie tightly with a strip of dough.
  3. Arrange the wrapped smokies in a cast iron pan, forming a ring and leaving space in the center.
  4. Brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle evenly with everything bagel seasoning.
  5. Place the pan on the smoker and cook for 25–30 minutes. Increase the temperature to 350°F and continue cooking for another 15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
  6. While the ring finishes cooking, prepare or heat your queso.
  7. Remove the pan from the smoker and pour the queso into the center of the ring.
  8. Serve immediately—pull apart and dip each piece into the queso.

Ingredients:

  • Bear Mountain BBQ Hickory Pellets
  • 1 package little smokies (12–14 oz)
  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 2 TBSP melted butter
  • 1–2 TBSP everything bagel seasoning
  • 1½–2 cups queso (store-bought or homemade)
