A cheesy, smoky, bite-sized twist on the classic meatball sub by Bear Mountain ambassador Jordan Hanger— perfect for game day or an easy appetizer.

Steps

  1. Preheat your smoker to 350°F using Bear Mountain BBQ Tailgating Pellets.
  2. Arrange the thawed dinner rolls on a baking sheet or in a cast-iron skillet.
  3. Press one meatball into the center of each roll to create a small well.
  4. Spoon marinara sauce over each meatball.
  5. Sprinkle with Parmesan and top with mozzarella.
  6. Smoke for 20–30 minutes, until the rolls are golden and the cheese is melted.
  7. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley.
  8. Brush the garlic-parsley butter over the tops of each bite.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

  • 12 frozen meatballs
  • 12 dinner rolls, thawed
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
