Japanese Meatball Sliders

Bear Mountain ambassador @EatWithMe:XYZ packs in the flavor with these delicious pork and beef meatball sliders.

Ingredients:
¼ cup Bachan’s Hot and Spicy Japanese Barbecue Sauce
2 tsp fish sauce
3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp fine chopped garlic
3 tbsp chop shallots
¾ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp sesame oil
¼ cup grated pear
1 egg beaten
1/3 cup panko
1 lb ground chuck beef
1 lb ground pork mild
8 toasted slider buns
Teriyaki sauce
Green onions
Sesame seeds
Pickled mini sweet peppers (recipe below)
Rice Vinegar -Sweet Black Ginger Syrup (I use KUROKAZE, Hebesu Citrus Black Ginger Syrup)

Pickled Mini Sweet Peppers Instructions
1. Slice peppers thin
2. Marinate in a bowl with rice vinegar and sweet black ginger syrup for at least an hour
Instructions:
1. Mix Bachan’s sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, garlic, shallots, black pepper, sesame oil and pear in a bowl. Then add egg, panko, beef, and pork.
2. Cover and chill for two hours in the refrigerator
3. Take out of the refrigerator and roll into 1-inch meatballs
4. Turn on your grill or smoker to 250 °F and add Bear Mountain Gourmet BBQ pellets
5. Place the meatballs on the grill and cook until the internal meat temperature reaches 165 °F. Baste 10 minutes before taking them off the grill with teriyaki and Bachan’s sauce
6. Take off the grill
7. Serve meatballs on a toasted slider bun with pickled sweet peppers, sauce, sesame seeds, and green onions
