Steps
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F.
- Divide the ground beef into four ½-pound patties and season generously on both sides with your favorite all-purpose BBQ seasoning.
- Place the burgers on the smoker and cook until they reach your desired internal temperature. During the last few minutes, top each patty with cheddar cheese and allow it to melt.
- Cook the fries according to the package directions until golden and crispy. Season immediately after cooking and set aside.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds, until fragrant.
- Add the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Reduce the heat to low and gradually stir in the Parmesan until melted and smooth. Stir in the parsley and black pepper, then season with salt to taste.
- Brush the cut sides of the burger buns with melted butter and lightly season with garlic powder. Toast until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers with the smoked, cheddar-topped patties and toasted buns.
- Pour the warm garlic Parmesan sauce onto a large serving platter or skillet. Place the burgers directly into the sauce and arrange the crispy fries around them.
- Spoon additional garlic Parmesan sauce over the burgers and fries, then finish with grated Parmesan and fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
