Chopped Fried Pickle Cheeseburger

This Chopped Fried Pickle Cheeseburger takes everything you love about a classic burger and kicks it up a notch with a crispy, tangy twist. A creamy fried pickle spread loaded with bacon, cheese, and fresh dill adds bold flavor to juicy, perfectly seasoned beef patties. Finished with extra pickle chips for crunch, this burger is a savory, zesty bite from start to finish.

Steps

  1. Toast panko in a skillet over medium-low heat until golden.
  2. On a cutting board, pile all spread ingredients (cream cheese, pickles, bacon, dill, pickle juice, panko, cheese) and chop together until well combined.
  3. Form burger patties, season with SPG, and smoke with Bear Mountain Tailgating pellets at 275°F until fully cooked.
  4. Assemble: bun → pickle chips → burger → generous smear of fried pickle spread.
  5. Serve and enjoy!

Ingredients:

Fried Pickle Spread:

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • ¼ cup dill pickle chips
  • 6 slices crispy bacon
  • ½ cup toasted panko bread crumbs
  • 1–2 sprigs fresh dill
  • 1 tbsp pickle juice
  • ½ cup shredded Colby Jack cheese


Burgers:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tsp SPG seasoning
  • extra pickle chips (for assembly)
