Bourbon Peach Cobbler Dump Cake

Sweet, buttery, and irresistibly easy, Jordan Hanger’s bourbon peach cobbler dump cake comes together in one pan with minimal effort and maximum comfort. Juicy peaches are layered with warm spices and vanilla, topped with cake mix and butter, then smoked or baked until golden and bubbly—perfect for backyard cooks or weeknight desserts.

Steps

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F or your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a cast iron skillet, combine peaches, vanilla, brown sugar, cinnamon, and bourbon (if using). Stir until evenly mixed.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the peach mixture. Do not stir.
  4. Arrange pats of butter evenly across the top of the cake mix.
  5. If smoking, place the skillet in the smoker at 225°F for 1 hour, then increase the temperature to 350°F and cook for an additional 30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. If baking, bake at 350°F for 30–40 minutes until the top is set and lightly browned.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

  • 2 cans peaches-  one can drained
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 2 sticks butter, sliced into pats
  • 1 TBSP vanilla extract
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 shot bourbon (optional)
  • 1 TSP cinnamon
