Wood-Fired Jalapeno Poppers

Simple to make and delicious to eat, Jalapeno Poppers are always a big hit. As a side dish, appetizer or game-day snack, this recipe will have everyone coming back for more!

Prep time: 10-15 minutes
Cook time: about 30-45 minutes

Ingredients:
  •    Halved jalapeno peppers (~ 6 peppers depending on size)
  •    1 8oz block cream cheese 
  •    4 oz bagged cheddar cheese
  •    1 tsp chipotle powder
Preparation:
1. Add the 8oz block of cream cheese, 4oz cheddar cheese, and 1 tsp of chipoltle powder into a mixing bowl and combine by hand
2. Roll cheese mix into "logs" and place in the halved peppers
3. Smoke at 225 until the cheese is bubbly and is starting to brown on top

 

    For a more robust flavor:

    Smoke on Mesquite pellets and crumble cooked bacon on top
