Jalapeno Poppers

Jalapeno poppers are always a hit. It doesn't matter if you serve them as a side, an appetizer or a game-day snack; people love the combo of the heat of the pepper and the creaminess of the cheese. Luckily, they're just as easy to make as they are delicious!

Prep time: 10-15 minutes

Cook time: about 30-45 minutes

Ingredients:

   Halved jalapeno peppers (~ 6 peppers depending on size)

   1 block cream cheese 

   4 oz bagged cheddar cheese

   1 tsp chipotle powder

Preparation:

1. Add block of cream cheese, 4oz cheddar cheese, and 1 tsp of chipoltle powder into a mixing bowl and combine by hand

2. Roll cheese mix into "logs" and place in the halved peppers

3. Smoke at 225 until the cheese is bubbly and is starting to brown on top

Smoke on Mesquite pellets and crumble cooked bacon on top
