Apple Cider Glazed Pork Chops

 Pork chops with a delicious apple cider glaze to top them off? Yes, please! Try out this delicious dish by Bear Mountain ambassador Brandyn Baker of @BlackDog_BBQ.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Serves: 3-4


  • 1 (1-2 lbs.) rack of pork
  • 1 tsp salt + more to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 ½ cups apple cider
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup molasses
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • Bear Mountain BBQ’s Butcher’s Blend, available exclusively at Walmart


Instructions (for the apple cider glaze):

  1. Place a saucepan over medium heat. Once the pan begins to warm, add the apple cider and the next four ingredients, stirring as needed.
  2. Once the mixture begins to simmer, reduce the heat to low and continue cooking until the glaze is reduced to a syrupy consistency.
  3. Once this occurs, remove the pan from the heat and allow the glaze to rest at room temperature until the pork chops have finished cooking.


Instructions (for the pork rack):

  1. Preheat the grill or smoker to 500 degrees.
  2. Pour in Bear Mountain’s Butcher’s Blend.
  3. Slice the rack of pork into individual chops and season with salt and pepper on all sides.
  4. Once the grill has preheated, add the pork. Allow the medallions to cook until the internal temperature registers 140 degrees, flipping as needed.
  5. To finish, dip the grilled pork chops in the glaze and serve with your sides of choice.
  6. Enjoy!
